The certified drawing shows the foundation bolt size and pitches. It is recommended that foundation bolts be set in suitable sized pockets. Leveling and Alignment Install the BrokePac® D by lowering it with the foundation bolts attached to the base such that the bolts enter the prepared pockets. Leveling blocks should be placed in position and the machine approximately leveled before the foundation bolts are finally grouted. |

Allow sufficient time for
the grout around the foundation bolts to set before accurately aligning
and leveling the machine. Check that all foundation bolts are correctly
tightened, machined, aligned and leveled. If these are satisfactory,
proceed with grouting the machine. Full weld the fixation ring with
the gusset plate of the chest.
Piping Connect the discharge pipe-work. It is essential that all piping be well supported so that no strain is placed on the BrokePac® D. Consideration should be given to providing loose flanges on pipes that bolt onto the BrokePac® D. These loose flanges may be welded to the pipe after the holes are seen to match. Use 1/8" (3 mm) gaskets. V-belt Drive Install the pulley on the motor shaft and align it with the pulley on the BrokePac® D drive shaft. Assemble the v-belts and adjust for proper tension. CAUTION: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN BELTS AS THIS MAY REDUCE BELT LIFE AND CAUSE PREMATURE BEARING FAILURE Lubrication The housing has been filled with grease at the factory. However, this may have settled prior to installation, therefore it is recommended that 15-20 strokes be pumped into each bearing after cleansing the greasing points. See the lubrication section of this manual for grease recommendations. Rotor Clearance Make sure that the bolt that holds the holder cover to the drive shaft and the bolts that hold the rotor to the rotor holder are tight. Check the clearance between
bottom of the rotor and the perforated plate; this would be 1.0 to
1.5 mm. Jog the motor to check the proper rotor rotation. Before Start-up Check the correct rotation
of the rotors. Press Pit During normal run, agitators are on the stop mode. Full width sheet break is detected by break photocell. This connected to a logic block. (or a programmable logic controller in conventional single loop control system), wherein the output will trigger the agitators to run. At the end of sheet break as sensed by photocell, the logic block will stop the agitator when the stock level reach the set-point to stop. This can be operated manually
using local control. During normal run the pit level is raising due to sheet trims. The agitators are therefore running intermittently. The logic block will turn on the agitators when the pit level is on the start set-point. This will stop after dumping the broke and when the pit level reach the stop set-point This can be operated manually
using local control.

SUGGESTED SPARE PARTS FOR MILL STOCKROOM When ordering spare parts, it is always best to take information from the certified prints. In this way, you can be certain that you are ordering the exact part you want. It is helpful to give the following information : 1. Size and model of the equipment in which the parts will be used. 2. Part description and drawing number. 3. If part has been ordered previously, it is desirable to have the most recent purchase order number and the date of purchase. To ensure you supply of
replacement items, it is H.T.Engineering Works recommendation that
the following parts be kept in your permanent inventory.
