Lubrication

Bearing

All supplied bearings require lubrication at regular intervals. Main shaft bearings are spherical roller bearings and are lubricated by grease. To support thrust load, a spherical thrust bearing is placed at the lower end of the shaft right below the spherical roller bearing.

 
 

Replacement of Bearings
(Please refer to General Assembly Drawing 72A F 1006 00)

Remove rotor and the rotor cover.
Remove the driven pulley and the sleeve.
Remove the plunger, housing bottom and top cover, bearing stopper.
Remove the whole drive block housing from the block housing support.
Remove locking washer, and bearing lock nut.
The roller cage of the spherical roller bearing should be removed from the top - by using a mechanical puller to protect the outer bearing race from any damage.

Important note:
1. Bearing radial clearance is set at 2mm.
2. When bearing replacement becomes necessary, always renew both bearings at the same time


Lubrication

Remove the rotor by removing first the rotor cover located at the top of the shaft that supports the rotor. The rotor would then be lifted up through the top of the pulper tub.

Reminder :

The Bearings are properly shop lubricated. However, please check the grease condition after the initial start-up of the unit.
