The drive of RagPac®
is attached to the main vertical support to minimize space required
and easy installation.
OPERATION
Before Start-up
Check the RagPac® bearings, bearing housings for proper lubrication.
Check for correct motor rotation.
First Time Start-up
a. Start the RagPac® drive
motor.
Normal Start-up Sequence
a. Start the RagPac®
motor.
General
Proper maintenance practice will promote trouble-free operation and
ensure better machine performance.
Care should be exercised during disassembly to place removed parts
in clean, dry and protected locations. If machine is to be left disassembled
for a period of time, openings should be protected to prevent entrance
of foreign materials.
During re-assembly, all new replaced parts should be checked carefully
prior to installation to ensure that they are proper for that particular
location. Use proper tools and equipment to facilitate performance
of fine quality work.
Bearing
Supplied bearings require lubrication at regular intervals. The bearings
are enclosed inside flange bearing housings bolted at the side of
the main support.
Drive Side Bearing Replacement
Loosen the tension of the sprocket chain
and remove the chain.
Remove
the driven sprocket.
Remove
bolts holding the bearing housing cover against the bearing housing.
Remove
housing cover.
Remove
the lock nut, lock washer and adapter sleeve.
Remove
the bearing.
Replace
with new bearing.
